Hello

Hi. I’m Sally.

I like to draw.

I like to help people connect.

Those two things, the ability to think and communicate visually, and a strong desire to create meaningful connections, led me through a long career in Advertising and Graphic Design, and eventually owning my own company, Lone Peak Creative.

Listening, learning, and understanding my client’s goals and challenges.

I take it all in, and help them tell their stories.

A thirty-plus year career focused on building my client’s identities and gaining connections to their customers.

Time well-spent, that resulted in a diverse body of work and knowledge, doing what I loved to do.

Until I had to stop.

My life changed drastically, as I needed to take care of my husband who had Young Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.

Closing my business to take on the hardest job one could ever have – caregiving.

I never stopped applying my skills of listening, learning, and taking it all in to understand and problem solve his ongoing challenges and disabilities.

Dealing with a terminal, and incurable disease that leads to a loss of identity, and the inability to connect, pushed my capabilities far beyond what I thought imaginable.

Like the millions of other caregivers, hitting rock bottom became my norm.

When he died at 59, the entire bottom dropped out, creating a space – deep and wide – and opening up an opportunity to fill it.

I continue to draw, now from professional and personal experiences, to further the connections that matter most.

Advocating for Alzheimer’s Disease research funding, and caregiver support programs and policies by sharing my story.
